Artist name on label is "The Burning Spears" (plural).
Spelling as on back cover. This would appear to be the first reissue with the revised front cover art - still the silkscreen card cover but now black back cover print. It can with certain confidence be dated to Spring 1978 thanks to a Daddy Kool advertisement in the April issue of UK magazine Black Music (see uploaded image). The copy pictured in this entry was purchased at about the same time.
Already in 1978 the matrices look like sh*t so that every copy pressed have that dirty, not-so-glossy look (and audible crackle) that became more commonplace with the 90's reissues of much Jamaican music. Burning Spear's Rocking Time on the Forward label purchased at the same time (and also listed in the Daddy Kool ad) had considerably heavier vinyl than Studio One Presenting and glossy surfaces, with only small factory damages to the matrice/stamper. It played very well for a Studio One record.
Artist name on label is "The Burning Spears" (plural). Comes in a pink and black silk screened cover.
Studio One logo on front cover is centered.
Very hard to find pressing (probably the rarest of all !), with a picture of Winston Rodney in front of a palm tree on pink thick card sleeve. All other covers with the palm tree uses this photography where you can here easily recognize his face.
Artist name on label is "THE BURNING SPEARS" in capital letters with a S at the end as he was called in the beginning of his carrier (his first singles on the Supreme label mentions the Burning Spears due to the backing vocals, people thought it was a vocal trio like many at that time).

Song Nr 6 on the B-Side is credited as "He Prayed" both on sleeve and on label, although its infact "Door Peep Shall Not Enter" once more.
This copy has plain white sleeve.

The sound quality lets it down. I have a Soul Jazz double LP compilation from this era and I find it unlistenable. The sound achieved by Jack Ruby on Marcus Garvey and Man in the Hills is immaculate by comparison. Check out the definitive version of Door Peep from the latter for a sense of what was achievable.
